how wonderful to see you and Isabel on the beach full of joy. I just walked through a flea market and I got you an old postcard of a french girl holding two chickens and it says "Joyeuses Jaques". I don't know what that means. I also got a old children's primer called " La Methode Rose, Nos Amis Lili et Toto". I don't know what that means either but it has wonderful illustrations ala 50's french kids gathering eggs and dancing by bowls of soup. What does "La mouche n'a peur de rien" mean? It is reason to dance by a huge bowl of soup with a fly on the edge.
well monkey, i've heard that the best way to learn french is via these children's primers you speak of. as for 'joyeuses jaques' my best guess is jack's joys, though i have no idea what that means. "the rose method, our friends lili and toto", well that means "we make friends by giving out roses", naturally. "la mouche" is the fly, and she is not afraid of anything. i'm so happy to hear from you.
i miss you too. bien sur. who took this picture of me is kind of an interesting story. i was playing with the self timer and trying to get isabel to cooperate with me so i could get a picture of us together. a woman walking by noticed my difficulties and asked me if i would like for her to take our picture. i said yes thank you, so she took it. i didn't get her name, though after she had walked past i wished i'd taken her picture.
